“Every activity can become a meditation” - the art of fire lighting the ancient way, either bow drill or flint & steel, are deeply linked with wellbeing, spirituality, patience, resilience, connection and of course nature. It’s hard to believe just how satisfying lighting a fire ‘the old way’ can be, being totally in the moment with what is. It really is the journey not the destination, although the flame does seem brighter when sparked by your own hand.
Sometimes you’ve just got to spark up your own fire! Ruth will show you how!
some of our themed workshops:
- fire lighting: flint and steel & ferro rod
- bow drill fire lighting
- charcloth making
- nettle cordage (seasonal)
- wild camping
