Ear Candling is also known as Thermal Auricular Therapy is a pleasant, gentle and non-invasive treatment of the ears, used to treat a variety of conditions. It can be a very relaxing treatment which can ease stress symptoms. Through inducing revitalising warmth upon the head and ears, the ear candles soothe, relieve and relax. This ancient and natural therapy offers physical benefits, relieving a range of conditions in today’s world. What is ear candling?
An ear candle is gently placed in the entrance of the ear canal and it is the burning ear candle’s mild warmth, the candle's vapours and the slight vibration of the air inside the candle which can help improve blood circulation and can allow the ear wax soften and expand so it is removed naturally, usually within a few days. It is a misconception about ear candling that the candle draws out the earwax by creating some sort of vacuum. The light vibration of air is only enough to massage the eardrum and to stimulate points of the ear which can help the health and hygiene of the ear. Each candle burns for between 10-12 minutes and after the ear candling the client received a deeply relaxing faical massage.
